Students at St. Mark’s

Welcome to Cardiff!

We love to welcome students to our church family at St Mark’s and hope that you will find home away from home in our church.  Our church family is made up of all ages and stages of life and is drawn from all walks of life but we are united in our passion to glorify God in all that we do.
If you are new to Cardiff you are especially welcome.  We would love to get to know you, so please do email the curate, Jim Griffiths (, so that we can look out for you and see how we can serve you best.
Your time at university will be one of the most formative times of your life: you are living away from home for the first time, you are being bombarded with new ideas and you will make new friends who may well want to know about your faith.  Our passion is to help you grow spiritually during this time as you answer the new questions that you are facing, to understand how your studies integrate with your Christian life and to reach out to your friends with the good news of Jesus.
We aim to do this in three ways:

Services and Other Meetings

Our main service is at 10.45am on Sundays but we also have services at 9.00am and 6.30pm.  In September and October we offer a Student Lunch after the main service which will give you the chance to get to know other students and families in St. Marks. For a calendar of events around the church, click here.

Home Groups

At St. Marks we are committed to the importance of Bible study and prayer.  We have a range of different home groups that meet on different days during the week. For more information, click here.  The is also an 18-40s group you might like to join.

We would love to meet with you one-to-one to read the Bible together, pray and discuss any issues that are concerning you.  If you would like to chat to someone one-to-one please email the curate, Jim Griffiths (  We will always ensure that the person you speak to is of the same gender as yourself.

Christian Unions

Finally, at St. Marks we are strong supporters of the work of the Christian Unions in the local universities.   If you want to get involved with their work or want to connect with them, then please go to UCCF’s link-up page where they will be able to put you in contact with your CU. You can find out more about CUs in Wales by clicking here.
