From Death to Life
This section of the Epistle begins with a stark account of human beings mired in the deathly realities of sin, then sets out a life-giving, love-shaped vision of the God who has ‘made us alive in Christ’ (v.5). It ends with a compelling image suggesting that we are God’s ‘poetry’, made ourselves for works of beauty and goodness.
