1. Remember where ultimate authority lies
2. We are commanded to obey the earthly leaders. We can submit to earthly authorities because we are aware of the ultimate authority.
3. There is an emphasis on humility - Jesus put others before himself
4. We are called to stand up for what is right.
5. We are called to have wisdom
6. We are fortunate to live under representative government. The New Testament was written when people where under tyranny. Many people today are in similar circumstances and we need to pray for them.
7. The Lord of all is coming.
