God made a promise to Abraham. The human genealogy shows the generations between this promise and its fulfillment. The genealogy shows a heyday in history but as it progressed the fortunes of God's people sank low. All human possibilities were gone but God kept his promise in his son. We live in unsettling times. The gospel is simply Jesus.
