Deuteronomy 6:4-5 was the heart of Jesus' mission.
Jesus twice referred to this chapter when tempted in the wilderness.
Fearing and loving God are two sides of the same coin.

1. The command to love is personal.
2. It involves mind and will as well as the emotions.
3. We need to be in awe of God - he is in heaven. He is upset if we give our love elsewhere.
4. Our love is a response to God's character.
5. He is consistent.
6. His character is revealed in his law.

Our love is a response to his actions.
Deliverance from Egypt to the Promised Land. It is all undeserved.
We have been given the Holy Spirit.

Do what is right, pass it on. Go over the top regarding remembering God's word and for Jesus.
