Nicodemus was at the top of the religious hierarchy in Israel but he was not in God's Kingdom. Despite his Old Testament knowledge he did not know salvation. He would have to look to Jesus the one who was "lifted up". We must ask ourselves "have I been born again?" and, if so, "does this still excite me?"
