1. Why the story there? Solomon is well established, but after her visit it is downhill all the way. The queen sought enlightenment from Solomon.
2. Jesus refers to her visit saying that the people of his day were less responsive. So many rejected him.
3. Matthew tells of the coming of the Magi, also Gentiles.
The challenge to us is to realise that enlightenment, wisdom and blessing are found in Jesus and nowhere else.
