Luke is trying to show us how we can be certain that the Resurrection really happened. Our faith depends on it.

1. Peace between God and man. Our sins are removed from us.
2. This peace is the grounds for our future hope. We can have confidence as we look to the future.
What is the evidence for the Resurrection?
1. Jesus shows them his hands and feet.
2. He eats with them - he is not a ghost. Ten of the apostles were martyred for their faith.
3. He reminds the apostles of his words, what has told them and what the Scriptures say about him.
Our confidence lies in
1. The apostolic witness.
2. Old Testament prophecy
3. Jesus' own prophecy.
