This was part of the Good Friday evening service.
John wants us to believe Jesus was really divine and human and really died on the Cross. There was a belief that claimed that Jesus only swooned and did not really die. This is what Muslims believe.

The evidence:

1. Jesus was stabbed in the side as well as the experienced soldiers reckoning him as dead.
2. The details could have been checked.
3. Does it matter that Jesus is fully human? Yes, only a human could be the sacrifice for our sins.
