Greed is more subtle than the other 'deadly' sins, as we can commit it without really knowing it.
Jesus draws the line between greed and not greed very close to ourselves. We need to be rich towards God rather than hoarding our material possessions, and being rich towards God may mean investing in his Kingdom rather than in things that are transient such as money and possessions.
