Abraham was used to God appearing to him, but this time there were two angels with him.
God's appearance must have been for Abraham's benefit.
1. It is not a prayer as we understand it.
2. The righteous are not as God understand it, as none is righteous.
3. Abraham was concerned that the innocent would die with the evil ones. He was concerned about collateral damage.
4. Abraham engaged in this Dutch auction.
5. Although God agreed with Abraham's request, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

We are actively encouraged to engage with God.
Abraham's prayer was answered, but not? in the way he expected.
God wants to be an integral part of our lives.
